Pi Kappa Phi. Real brotherhood. Real values. We're a "social" fraternity at UCLA, but we're a lot more than just social. Our chapter's goal is to maintain its reputation of being a well-rounded fraternity made up of guys who believe in the value of being part of a brotherhood. We pride ourselves in being a fraternity that defies all the negative stereotypes that people associate with greek fraternities. We also take great pride in the diversity of our brotherhood. We encourage and demand academic excellence from our brothers. We encourage our brothers to have a life outside of fraternity. Our brothers participate heavily on campus in areas outside of the Greek system, including student government, volunteer organizations, UCLA UniCamp, Student Alumni Association (SAA), UCLA Radio, UCLA yell crew, IM sports teams, ROTC, freshman summer orienation, Daily Bruin, residential life (RA's in dorms), dance groups, and more.

Our chapter began in the Fall of 1994. Two men from the national organization of Pi Kappa Phi came to UCLA to recruit solid young men interested in creating a different type of fraternity in Westwood. They wanted to start a fraternity at UCLA that truly was different. They wanted to recruit men who were well-balanced, great students, strong leaders, and student athletes. They wanted to recruit men who wanted to be part of a fraternity whose members didn't all have to look to same, men who recognized the value of diversity. There was no fraternity house then; instead there was a small group of men committed to the ideals of Pi Kappa Phi and determined to create a new kind of fraternity at UCLA. In the spring quarter of 1996, Pi Kappa Phi UCLA got its charter from the national organization.

Today, Pi Kappa Phi UCLA has a strong reputation at UCLA. It has a reputation of being a house for "really good guys," "guys that are involved all over campus," "guys that aren't your typical 'frat guys.'" At UCLA Pi Kappa Phi, we're proud of our brotherhood. We hope that you come by to take a look at our house and see what the brothers are like. Even if you're not sure you want to join a fraternity, we encourage you to come down. We also encourage upperclassmen and transfers to come down to the house. The brothers of Pi Kappa Phi wish you the best this academic year.
