Brother Ralph Guerrero Needs Your Help Fundraising for Journey of Hope
Hello friends and family!
Or maybe you are a friend of a friend or a family member of mine. But in all cases, I would like to thank you for taking time from your busy schedules to visit my page!
As you may know, I will be cycling from San Francisco to Washington, DC on the Journey of Hope this summer, where we will be reaching out to thousands of people with disabilities, and spreading messages of acceptance and understanding to Americans along the way. One of the most tragic barriers is a lack of understanding by our society. A simple message of empathy and acceptance is all it takes to break down this barrier.
You may know someone with a disability, and understand the adversities they face everyday. Sometimes it is difficult trying to put yourself in their shoes in understanding how it is like living with a disability. I have a younger cousin with a disability and I know he faces many different challenges everyday. In a way, I would like this bike ride to be a metaphor in showing him that some things that seem physically impossible can be possible.
But to make this bike ride possible, we need your help! In efforts to reach my team's goal of over $500,000, my individual goal is to raise $5,500. I know we are in a very tough time in our economy right now, especially here in California. But if you cannot make a donation today, please help support by spreading this word of awareness. Because ultimately, our goal here is to have our society understand and accept those with disibilities.
Thank you very much for your support. Together we can make a difference!
Sincerely,
Ralph Guerrero

Brother Mike Borger Needs Your Help Fundraising for Journey of Hope
"There are over 54 million Americans living with disabilities today. People with disabilities face unimaginable challenges and difficulties. But one of the most tragic barriers is a lack of understanding by our society. A simple message of empathy and acceptance is all it takes to break down this barrier, and I have commited myself to spreading this message this summer.
I will be raising awareness on behalf of people with disabilities by cycling from San Francisco, CA all the way to Washington, DC on the Journey of Hope. My individual goal is to raise $7,000 as part of my team's goal of raising over $500,000. Along the journey, we will be reaching out to thousands of people with disabilities as well.
Please take the time to support Americans with disabilities and make a tax deductible donation to PUSH America. Every donation, no matter what size, helps me inch closer to my fundraising goal.
I have always wanted to ride in the Journey of Hope. Thank you for helping this dream become a reality!"

Pi Kapp and Delta Gamma Win Spring Sing
Spring Sing is UCLA’s longest running musical tradition, one that exhibits the talents of UCLA students as they perform onstage as bands, duets, a capella groups, and more. As per tradition, Pi Kappa Phi took the stage with the fine young ladies of Delta Gamma sorority to perform a 5-minute musical production based on Candyland, the beloved children’s board game. PiKapp-DG has historically been successful in Spring Sing, taking home the gold in the Production category in 2007 and 2008; this year was no different as directors Anh Nguyen and Marisa Huff put together a show that beat out the tough competition, once again earning PiKapp-DG the coveted first place prize. As the next Spring Sing approaches, PiKapp and DG prepare to continue this tradition of excellence on and off the stage.
